Worked on conceptualization, art direction and design execution of direct-to-consumer email marketing for such brands as Cineplex, Scotiabank and Scotia SCENE. Designed various email templates to generate quick, personalized, responsive emails for loyalty marketing communications. Other designing tasks were icons and branding materials.

Challenge:
Designing for email marketing presents a unique set of constraints. Emails must be visually engaging and on-brand while navigating technical limitations like limited interactivity and tight file size restrictions. Unlike other digital channels, there’s also the reality that not every email will be opened, let alone read, so the design must capture attention instantly, often with just a subject line and a few seconds of screen time. As a designer, the challenge is to craft layouts that are impactful, responsive, and clear.
Solution:
Working with talented creative director Michael Seven and Rado Ratkovic, we developed modular, responsive templates with a strong focus on visual hierarchy. Each email began with a bold, eye-catching header image that immediately communicated the theme, setting the tone and drawing users in. From there, content flowed logically from promotional highlights to key details, ending with a clear and compelling CTA. This structure ensured scannability and kept the experience engaging even for quick-glance viewers.
