Hackathon

I joined a hackathon at the last minute. We had 24 hours to design a product based on a chosen theme. We didn’t do well. I could say it was because we started late - only committing about 10 hours after it began - but honestly, the biggest issue was that we weren’t organized from the start. We didn’t spend enough time researching, planning, or aligning the team around a holistic objective.

The most honest (and best) feedback we got: “Lack of presentation. There was no presentation.”

What I learned/reminder from this event was far more valuable than winning.
